come on, if french can have a pronoun that takes third person singular conjugations, but is most commonly used for the first person plural, why can't english take a pronoun that's most commonly used for the third person plural and pair it with third person singular conjugations instead. languages just do that kind of thing sometimes.

so you know how at one point there was a tweet of a crew member laughing at the concept of a diamond getting poofed... what if all the things we think we know about the way gems work don't actually fully apply to the diamonds, what if it turns out that they can't get poofed because their bodies aren't light projections, or some similar twist...
