"waaah missy is a poorly written female character because all of her lines could just be exactly the same if she was a man and would still make sense"

wrong, missy is an excellent female character for that precise reason. in the real world women are not defined primarily by the fact that they're women, there's no reason a female character should be instantly recognisable as such just by the way they speak and act! and especially not one who actually was a man for most of her life and therefore wouldn't have been affected by societal expectations towards women at any point before she was already well and truly an adult.

here, go read the dread pirate missy instead. great story.
